How to Run Sentrido Discovery

Step 1. Download the Installer

Download Sentrido Discovery application installer for Windows. Your browser may prompt you to confirm or specify a location to save the file. Choose a suitable location on your device, then proceed with the download.

Step 2. Open and Run the Installer

Once the download is complete, open and run the Sentrido Discovery Installer. Your operating system might ask for confirmation to open the file (e.g., “This file was downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?”). Click Open or Run to continue.

Note: If you see a prompt asking for administrative permissions, click Yes to proceed.

Step 3. Choose Installation Option

When the installer application appears, you will be asked to choose between two modes:

1. Run Once: Perform a single scan immediately.

2. Run Periodically: Set a schedule to run scans on a regular basis.

If you choose the "Run Once" option, the installer will download and launch an interactive scanner. This scanner will prompt you for your Sentrido login credentials, allowing it to scan your network and automatically upload the results to your account. If you prefer not to log in, you can select the Demo Mode to perform an anonymous scan and view the scan results for a limited time. If you choose the "Run Periodically" option, the installer will create an scheduled task to run the application on your selected schedule. Please note that this feature is only available to users with a registered Sentrido account.

Step 4. Agree to the License Agreement terms

Check the box to accept the license agreement terms, then click "Next" to continue. Continue following the on-screen instructions to finalize and complete the process.

Download Sentrido Discovery application that matches your operating system. Your browser may prompt you to confirm or specify a location to save the file. Choose a suitable location on your device, then proceed with the download.

Step 2. Open and Run the Application

Once the download is complete, open and run the Sentrido Discovery application. Your operating system might display a warning saying that the application can't be opened. Click OK, then open System Settings > Privacy & Security and scroll to the Security section. Click Open Anyway to allow Sentrido Discovery to run.

You may recieve another warning. Click Open to proceed.

Step 3. Agree to the License Agreement terms

Sentrido Discovery application will prompt you for your Sentrido login credentials, allowing it to scan your network and automatically upload the results to your account.

If you prefer not to log in, you can select the Demo Mode to perform an anonymous scan and view the scan results for a limited time. Check the box to accept the license agreement terms to continue.
Depending on the size of your network and the number of connected devices, the application may take several minutes to complete the network scan.

Note: Sentrido Discovery for macOS is only available as an interactive scanner. At this time, only Windows version supports periodical automatic scans.

Once the download is complete, install Sentrido Discovery application. By default, it is installed into the /usr/local/bin/sentrido directory.

Run the Sentrido Discovery application. It will prompt you for your Sentrido login credentials, allowing you to scan your network and automatically upload the results to your account.

If you prefer not to log in, you can select the Demo Mode to perform an anonymous scan and view the scan results for a limited time.

Depending on the size of your network and the number of connected devices, the application may take several minutes to complete the network scan.

Note: Sentrido Discovery for Linux is only available as an interactive scanner. At this time, only Windows version supports periodical automatic scans.
